Live cartridges found in hotel room

NEW DELHI: Twenty-four live Italian-made cartridges and two magazines were found inside a room in a five-star hotel in the city after three Italians checked out, police said on Thursday.

The three Italians - Giovanni Ceccomello, Donato Dngello and Giulion Tometto - had checked in the Radisson Hotel on May 24 and checked out the same day in the evening.

An AC mechanic, who was checking the room after their departure, found the cartridges in a polythene bag in the AC shaft.

Police said two of the Italians have been traced to Pune and one to Mumbai.
